Day 17 - Sandy Cape Recreation Park - Thursday 25th May 2017

Today was a lazy day hanging around at Sandy Cape enjoying the glorious weather. Sue unfortunately had endured a terrible night with a toothache and so Helen offered to drive her into Jurien Bay to see a dentist. This they did and it turned out Sue was suffering from a dry socket courtesy of the extraction that she had back in Perth. The dentist cleaned it out and gave her antibiotics and a powerful painkiller which has resulted in a much happier wife. They also spent a little time exploring the local Op shop I'm told.  While this was going on Pete's cousin Carol and husband Ian arrived around 2 pm and set up their camper trailer close to our two vehicles. Then it was off to explore the area again with another walk to the lookout and chilling on the beach in the afternoon. The evening was spent enjoying another barbecue dinner, wine and conversation around a campfire. Through conversation we learned that Ian and Carol had connections with our neighbours back in Murrumbeena - such a small world.
